Event: STYP @ Relay For Life

Where: MacArthur Park - Binghamton, NY

Description: It rained on and off, but no shower could dampen the spirit of those at Relay for Life - they handled it in stride. More than 25 STYPers (and their families) got together and entered a team at the annual Relay for Life, an annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. While we were just a small part of the 24-hour walk-(run)-a-thon, those who participated had a great time and we raised over $300 to donate to ACS with fun ideas like the "pie in the face" contest...where STYP President Robin Alpaugh and Vice President Doug Camin agreed to be creamed by lucky winners of a raffle drawing (tickets were sold in the weeks before at various events.) Tents were setup, campouts ensued, and everyone was walking with a mission in the fight against cancer.
